Check the view from the door
On the plan, draw what a visitor can see when the main door opens. Consider whether the view extends straight to a bedroom or family seating area. Look at the opposite apartment entrance and lift lobby as well. An attractive foyer render may not show the relationship between multiple doors on the actual floor plate.
Separate household activity zones
Think about early work calls, children's play, cooking and sleeping at different times. A layout with bedrooms opening directly to a busy living area may be less suitable for your routine than one with a short buffer. Avoid assuming that a door alone solves sound transfer; ask about specifications and assess completed examples only where genuinely comparable.
Evaluate planned changes cautiously
If a home seems to need a new partition or altered doorway, ask whether the change is permissible and practical before making it part of your decision. Check ventilation, access and service positions with the appropriate professional. Prefer a plan that already supports your priorities instead of relying on an unconfirmed renovation to make the home work.
